Dear Family! My name is Virginia, I’m a native Spanish speaker being born in Panama of Spanish descend; but with all my school and University education in American schools; I’m 53 years old, and ,mother of a 24 year old son. A bit about my educational background; I have a passion for learning languages; so I started to study Portuguese during the pandemic lock down in 2020, I studied it for 2 years so I have a conversational level of Portuguese as well. And so for 2022 I have taken a sabbatical; and my goal is to live in France to learn the French culture and moreover; to become fluent in French. My educational background is Bachelor in Business Administration; but most of my working experience was in the Insurance area; in which I even managed my own company during 8 years. I have short experience in babysitting and teaching English to kids; during the months of August-December 2020, I was tutoring 2, 6 year-old girls; helping them with their online classes; doing homework, but also preparing snacks, and taking them to their tennis and swimming classes. During this period of time I stayed with them from 8am until 2pm from Monday to Friday. I find it enriching and fun to work with children and I strive to provide a warm, fun and nurting environment and as well as assisting them in learning and encourage them to participate actively, to recognize their emotions; and express them freely. I believe that children are the best teachers; and always wonder who is actually being nurtured and elevated in these interactions. Because at the end; is a loving exchange of kindness, trust, and love between the kid and the adult. The most important thing for me is to make sure that the children feel safe and respected (and have fun!), and learn something new each and every day ;learn new words, sounds and as well be comfortable around me ,I find that really important. I am a versatile, ambitious and hardworking lady, I am kind, attentive and reliable. Thank you for taking time to review my application. Sincerely,
