Hello parents, I am Nadia Jiménez Matschiske, a 21 year old Spanish student living in Paris. Currently, I’m studying Advertising and Public Relations here in Paris for one semester. I would love to be able to work as a creative director at either a fashion company or at LEGO. I am available for school outings. I’ve always been interested in kids and liked how creative and full of ideas they are. I also understand the parent’s struggle to not be able to keep up with adulthood and taking care of their children sometimes. That’s why I think a little help from someone is always very nice. Plus the kids get enriched with a new language, which nowadays is crucial. I would have no problem helping with the housework. I’ve been working at a farm back in my hometown for about 4 years, where I used to teach horse riding lessons to kids (from 1 to 17 years approx.), as well as taking them on hacks on the outside. During summer we organized a summer camp in which I also taught Spanish lessons to foreign kids. I don’t know how to look after a baby, but I would be willing to learn to do so. I would be able to manage children's crises. It has happened to me before while at the summer camp, but mainly I think it’s important to stay calm and try to identify the cause of the crisis to put a solution to it. I think my best quality is being empathetic. I like to see things from perspective and try to put myself in other’s shoes to try to understand their point of view. I am a very responsible person, I also believe I have a lot of patience and that I am a very honest person. In general, I think I do have a creative eye, and I love to paint or do activities such as pottery. Since I started studying Advertising and Public relations, I’ve developed very helpful communication skills, so not only do I know how to handle conflicts but I also know how to listen. I can also bring a creative perspective to them, as well as I can help them to accomplish all their tasks effectively. Some of the activities I could offer to the children could be related to art (painting, pottery, collages…); storytelling activities; board games that need the use of logic/memory; and I would also love to do activities on the outside with them (go to the parc, etc.) During working hours I will switch my phone off, so that I have my full attention on the children. The children will be excited to have me as their babysitter because I will be their friend and they will cherish spending time with me whilst learning a lot. For you, parents, I’m the right choice as you will have a trustworthy person taking good care of their children and that will enrich their lives by combining knowledge and fun.
